Position
Information:
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Finance & General Administration Manager will manage all the Finance, Accounting and administrative function at PISP .The candidate will work closely with other PISP departments and partners.
Main Duties/Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Finance & General Administration Manager will manage all the Finance, Accounting and administrative function at PISP .The candidate will work closely with other PISP departments and partners.
Main Duties/Responsibilities:
- Preparation
and analysis of grant financial reports as per the grant agreement and
monitor the funding receipts, supervise the finance & Administration
team and ensure smooth and accurate flow of data and information to and
from PISP and partners.
- Maintain
the suppliers cycle and procurement process as per PISP policy
- Lead
budget preparation process by providing instructions and guidance in the
formulation of resource allocation. Perform quarterly budget analysis and
report on expenditure trends, projected budget overruns and recommend
corrective measures where necessary.
- Ensure
that the accounting, financial reporting and other financial management
arrangements meet the requirements of the relevant financing agreements
- Preparation
of Financial Management Reports and facilitation of audits.
- Any
other assignments as given by the Executive Director.
Qualifications
and Competencies:

Requirements
- Holder
of a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration and
Management. MBA will be an added advantage. The individual should also be
a Chartered/Certified Public Accountant (CPA – K, ACCA), has an
affiliation and an active member of a professional accounting body.
- Minimum
of 5 years (of which at least 2 yrs in the management position) of
progressively responsible professional experience in financial management
and accounting in a similar position in an international organization,
non-governmental or development organization, or other related area.
Experience in the duty station of potential assignment is an asset.
- Proficiency
in ICT with demonstrated experience in MS Office, data management, the
PASTEL accounting package as well as other accounting packages.
- Understanding
of national laws and practices in regard to financial and taxation
policies.
- Personal
drive, team player and process thinker.
- Excellent
interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability
to work under pressure and in a multicultural environment.
